First off...our car! After it was considered "totaled" and we got our benjamins from Geico we got our new car. WOW! I love it. It is called a Ford Freestyle and it is a 2006. It fits us awesomely! And the added bonus...it is NOT a minivan! Success!
Devon is proving to be such a big helper when we are in the middle of a project. He loves to have a hammer or any tool in his hands to be just like dad. His greatest love, however, is screws! Like, so pointy they will poke out your eye ball and pierce your brain type of screws. EEK! This makes momma so nervous when I see him walking around with these. It seems as though he has an internal compass that grabs him and moves him toward these screws.
Isabelle really just loves her big brother. She always wants to be right by his side. Especially if he has some food in his hand. She just can't get enough. I just told Scott the other day how I was concerned that our two different gendered kids would be sharing a room for a while. I was so focused on what we are going to do in the future to separate them into their own little havens. But, just the other day I realized that right now they LOVE being in the same room together. That might have something to do with Izzy being penned up and Devon being in control of the room. But, who knows. I am certainly not going to let the boy/girl issue factor into splitting them up any time soon.
For some reason, Devon has marker all over his chin and mouth!
OK, maybe the love is not ALWAYS there...
Lately, we have been enjoying the non-rainy weather we have been having. This means either fun on the swing set (more on that in another post) or playing on the deck. Mama likes the deck since Izzy can be contained and entertained all in the same breath. Devon has grown to love coloring with markers out there.
My little artist at work!
Of course, a good snack is always a hit!
Night time with the kids is getting better and better. I think all kids have something they do better than others. For my kids, that is going to sleep. They are such peaches when it is bed time. And, part of our nightly routine is brushing out teeth. Isabelle is a bit tight lipped right now, so she gets to "brush" her own teeth. Actually, they both get to "brush" their own teeth at first. Wow, I think this might be the highlight of their night.
Sorry for the orange color in this photo. I really needed to color correct this
